Preventing tragedy starts at home

Too often, gun violence starts with something preventable, such as a young person gaining access to an unsecured firearm at home.

That’s why I was honored to speak at Advocacy Day with Moms Demand Action about my legislation, Bill 4738, the New Jersey Home Safety Act.

This bill focuses on something simple but critical: safe and responsible firearm storage. Making sure firearms are properly secured can prevent accidents, save lives, and keep dangerous situations from ever happening.

I’m grateful to Moms Demand Action for their continued advocacy and partnership on this issue. I look forward to continuing this work and advancing legislation that helps keep our communities safe.

Thanks,

Lou
